Since walking past 15 Savile Row in his early twenties, Jason has held the ambition of one day coming through the door and ordering his first bespoke Henry Poole suit. In late October 2021 he did just that.
Preparing for what was soon to become an Oscar winning film premiere, Jason met with Cutter Daniel McDonald, bursting with excitement and ready to work on a very special collaboration.
This documentary, shot and directed by Damien Bray, gives an insight into the creative process behind preparing for such an event.
Jason settled on a beautiful dark burgundy velvet jacket with silk lapels and embroidered cuff details, courtesy of our friends at Hawthorne and Heaney. This was paired with a claret brocade double-breasted vest and some classic dinner trousers, up-cycled from his black tie ensemble that had already been worn on the red carpet – for Daniel Craig’s final instalment as James Bond.
One of the beautiful things about bespoke tailoring is the longevity of the garments and their versatility when it comes to preparing for multiple events. This sustainability is something that is very important to Jason and his team, who are on a quest to stop single use plastics around the world.
