Following the launch of the GORE-TEX Travel Trench in 2021, we’re pleased to continue evolving our travel outerwear range with a new addition: a shorter, more versatile silhouette known as the Travel Reefer.
Inspired by pieces from our archive, the Travel Reefer draws heavily on the enduring functionality and form of classic naval and utilitarian garments, most notably the historic peacoat and reefer jacket. We’ve reinterpreted these influences into a modern design that retains their strong double-breasted structure, clean lines and sharp tailoring, while embracing a more relaxed, travel-friendly proportion. The result is a jacket that seamlessly blends heritage and innovation, equally suited to everyday wear and life on the move.
Refined tailoring elements, including a smart lapel shape and a subtly sculpted half-raglan shoulder, lend the coat a streamlined profile and understated elegance. These touches elevate the design while maintaining the practicality that defines this category of outerwear.

To enhance mobility, the coat incorporates a split two-piece raglan sleeve that flows into an underarm ventilation zip, offering greater freedom of movement and improved breathability. Traditional horizontal pockets have been reworked into ergonomic hand warmer pockets for added comfort and utility. Echoing the design of the Travel Trench, a back waist seam constructed on the fold, discreetly conceals a generous hidden pocket. A smaller, concealed sleeve pocket provides secure storage for smaller essentials while on the move. Functionality has been a constant focus throughout the design process. The Travel Reefer is intended to be an effortless, adaptable coat, versatile enough to complement both tailored and casual wardrobes and practical enough for life in transit.
The GORE-TEX Travel Reefer is available to order either in-store or at one of our Trunk Shows. It can be commissioned in chest sizes 36″–50″, with your choice of short, regular or long lengths to ensure the best fit.
The coat is priced at £1,740.00 (incl. VAT) with a standard lining, and is available in a choice of navy blue, racing green or burgundy.
