After years of successful participation in the UK’s Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace, Henry Poole & Co are delighted to begin partnering the Concours of Elegance in Germany.
The inaugural event, hosted at Gut Kaltenbrunn, took place between the 22nd and 27th of July, situated along the picturesque shores of Lake Tegernsee. 200 automobiles were showcased including 50 of the world’s rarest cars courtesy of the owners. These were complemented by displays of an additional 150 fine motor cars from specialist Concours and car clubs.
Mr. Cundey and his family were in attendance, accompanied by Patrick Reinhart, representing Henry Poole and showcasing the travel trench and a wide selection of seasonal cloth. Additionally, sons Henry and Jamie served as stewards throughout the event.
One of the highlights of the event was the display of the iconic Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing commemorating the 70th Anniversary of its debut at the NYC International Automobile Show. In celebration, as a part of the recent Concours on Savile Row, Henry Poole & Co have created a limited-edition pocket square and ladies’ scarf in partnership with Mercedes. After the success of the Concours in Tegernsee, Henry Poole & Co are excited to return to Hampton Court to continue our partnership with Concours. As a part of the event which will take place from the 30th of August to the 1st of September, we will be delighted to present a new lightweight version of our traditional house exclusive fabric ‘The Henry Poole House Check’ in a wool, silk and linen blend with a weight of 7/8 ounces.
