I would like to extend a huge and heartfelt thank you to all our customers for your tremendous loyalty and support throughout the Covid-19 lockdown. At Henry Poole we faced the challenge of our Dunkirk moment, survived and now eagerly await a full return to work and meeting all your sartorial needs. We anticipate our showroom being open by the end of July.
Meanwhile, our cutting room remains open with four staff, at a safe social distance, happy to take online orders and to send out swatch samples so there is no delay to starting work on your order. As some of you might know, I have been packaging up your orders personally, including the occasional hand-written letter, then delivering them round London myself by scooter. So I hope none of you has had to wait too long for your summer outfits and accessories.
Before we open again and I’m able to greet you all in person, I thought you might be interested in the live interview I did with Kirby Allison on his show. Kirby Allison is founder of the American Hanger Project and his YouTube channel has 143,000 subscribers. Technology enabled me to sit in the showroom while he was in Texas and we talked for an hour and a half about Henry Poole & Co, past, present and future. We had some very enjoyable moments talking about how the Cundey family has continued the Henry Poole legacy and if you have time to watch, I hope you’ll be reassured by what I say about being determined to carry on our commitment to excellence and outstanding customer care.
It streamed live on May 7th but can still be seen here.
Meanwhile, please stay in touch with us as we’re going to be announcing some excellent promotions of lightweight summer suits and sports jackets.
Thank you again for your invaluable support and together with the Board, Angus, Alex, Keith, Tom and Kimberley, I very much look forward to welcoming you back to the showroom.
